Dr. Dennis Leo Merat's Obituary
Dr. Dennis Leo Merat, 72, longtime Memphis resident, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. He was born in Memphis to the late, Leo and Thelma B. Merat on June 13, 1954. Dr. Merat was a Professor at Christian Brothers University teaching Chemistry from 1998 until 2024 when he retired.
Dr. Merat leaves behind numerous students whose lives he touched and special friends Katina ( Jravis ) Fluker.
Celebration of Life service will be 11 am Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery with the visitation an hour prior at 10 am. Reception will be immediately following after the service in the Parkside Event Center of the Funeral Home.
