Dennis, Cathy and their children have blessed my family in so many ways. Starting in high school, they would take my younger brother to church with them. When I had my first child, they watched him for me everyday so that I could work. As years passed, I had more children, moved far away and yet, there they were…Dennis and Cathy coming to see them and love them as if they were their natural born grandchildren. “Pops”, as the kids called him, would always grab his wallet and let the kids take all the money out of it…they got such a kick out of “taking all of Pop’s money!”. Years past and after a messy divorce, they welcomed me and my children into their home, helping me in so many ways, to get back on my feet. Dennis was one of the most generous, loving men I have ever met. He wasn’t a man of many words but his heart was huge and needed no words to express his love. I think I put his patience to the test many times but thank the Lord, he never gave up on me. He will be terribly missed and never forgotten. His legacy will live forever in the hearts of those he cared for so deeply…a man that fathered three but “daddy’d” many.
