Denise Edwards Pugh's Obituary
Denise Edwards Pugh was born in Memphis, Tennessee May 13, 1950 and died on March 24, 2017 after a 10 year battle with multiple myeloma. She and her husband Bob were married for 43 years. She was preceded in death by her father James Edwards. She is survived by her two daughters Mallory Griffin (Jose) Nino and Caroline (Jeremy) Plyler of Memphis, Tennessee, a granddaughter Ann Quinn ; mother Ann Edwards; sister Donna Woodside; brothers Tony Edwards and John Edwards and 5 nephews and 3 nieces. She attended Immaculate Conception High School and the University of Memphis. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She began her career as a merchandising manager at Casual Corner and later as a fashion buyer for James Davis and Minor Francis. She loved being involved in community activities such as Les Passees and the Memphis Junior League. She was a member of the Suburban Garden Club and the Mystic Society of the Memphi, Court of 2015. Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home Poplar Avenue on Wednesday March 29 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Rosary following. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday March 30 at 1:00 pm at St.Peter Catholic Church 190 Adams Avenue Memphis Tennessee. Graveside services to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery Poplar Avenue. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial may be sent to The Monastery of St. Clare 1310 Dellwood Avenue Memphis, Tennessee 38127 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
