Delores Kinsolving's Obituary
Delores Kinsolving of Germantown passed Saturday, May 18, 2019. A lifelong resident of the Memphis area, Delores was born March 22, 1933 to Maxwell and Lorene Kinsolving. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Betty Jean Tracy.Delores taught music in the Memphis City School System from 1955 until her retirement in 1985. Her students at Colonial Junior High, Overton High School and Raleigh Egypt High School knew her simply as “Miss K”.After her retirement from teaching, Delores embarked on a second career working for real estate developer, Robert Rogers until 2015.Delores also served as choir director and organist at churches in the Memphis area.Delores gave many hours of her time to working with both Opera Memphis and Germantown Performing Arts Center.She is survived by her niece, Terry Tracy Ramey and two nephews, Kenneth Tracy and Richard Tracy. In lieu of flowers, donations in Delores’s memory to Compassus Living Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “A Fitting Farewell for Everyone”.
