Dee Carolyn Harle's Obituary
Dee Carolyn Harle passed away peacefully the morning of December 6, 2025. She lived a rich and joyful life, full of family, friends and work. Dee was born in Jonesboro, AR to Lyle Etter and Lucy Bradley Etter. She was lovingly raised with her baby sister Linda.
Dee Carolyn was a pioneer in her professional career, being one of the first female bank branch managers. It was at the Union Planters branch on Poplar that she met the love of her life, Richard Torrence "Torry" Harle. He was determined that they were soul mates and after his dogged pursuit, she agreed. They had a wonderful life together, restoring a historic home in Harrisburg, PA. Dee Carolyn was a fierce champion for fair housing, leading HUD compliance for PA for years. She and Torry had 2 beloved standard poodles, Mamie and Zinnie.
Carolyn is survived by her sister Linda Etter Turman of Germantown, TN, niece Elizabeth Turman of Vacaville, CA and great-niece Lucy. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Torry, her brother-in-law Bill and nephew Blake.
In lieu of flowers, Carolyn would want you to spend time with one of your favorite people doing something you both love as that was one of Carolyn's joys as well.
A graveside service for Dee Carolyn will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from, 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM
