Deborah "Debbie" Kane Lambert's Obituary
Deborah (Debbie) Kane LambertDebbie, 72, peacefully passed away February 9, 2016 at Methodist Hospice Residence. Debbie was born in Akron, Ohio and grew up in Boynton Beach, Florida. She attended SMU and graduated from Florida State University where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She obtained her Master’s of Education degree from the University of Memphis. Debbie was a teacher at Dogwood Elementary and Houston Middle schools for 25 years where she influenced the lives of many children in the Germantown, TN community. Her love of teaching and being a wonderful mother were her passions.Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Donna Kane. She is survived by her two sons, Ricky Lambert (Becky), Mike Lambert (Betsy), two sisters, Linda Coleman, Patti Steward, and four grandchildren, Connor, Benjamin, Thomas, and Hayley Lambert.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in honor of her grandchildren.Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at Emmanuel United Methodist Church this Saturday, February 13 at 10 AM. Reception to follow at 11 AM.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”
