Deborah Clark's Obituary
Deborah “Debby” Ruth Clark, 74, of Boca Raton, Florida went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
Born on December 14, 1950, in Memphis, Tennessee, Debby has resided in New Jersey, Ohio and then settled in South Florida for most of her adult years.
Debby is survived by her brothers Phillip Clark and his wife, Susan Clark and Alan Clark; her nieces Lindsey Fisher and her husband, Jared Fisher, Wendy Clark, and Carolina Clark; her nephews David Clark and Nick Boracci as well as her great nieces, Katy Daly, Catalina Clark and great nephew, Juju. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Clark, her nephew Michael Clark and his mother, Dorothy Clark.
Debby dedicated her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse. She worked in the Emergency Room at Jackson Memorial Hospital and, for the past several decades, served as a Home Health Nurse at ACTS Life communities, including St. Andrews Estates and Edgewater Estates. She was known for her compassion, and always treating every patient as if they were her family.
Her kindness extended into her personal life as well. Debby adored her Goldendoodle, Sandy—one of Lucy’s puppies—who was her loyal and loving companion for four (4) years. She spoiled Sandy with affection, attention, and toys, and the bond they shared brought her great joy.
Debby faithfully attended Spanish River Christian Church for many years and was part of a close-knit small group of ladies who studied the Bible weekly—something she truly loved. She had a gift for making people feel cared for, and one of her greatest qualities was that she genuinely loved people, and they loved her in return. Her neighbors, as well as her trusted dog-walker and handyman, Eddie Odette, were among the many who looked out for her and cherished her friendship.
Spending time with Debby was always filled with laughter. She had a quick wit and a candid nature—if she thought it, she said it—and her humor brought joy to all around her.
She will be sorely missed every day as she was a true blessing in the lives of all who knew her. Debby’s legacy of faith, love, laughter, and compassion will live on in her family, friends, patients, and beloved Sandy.
A funeral service will be held at Glick Family Funeral Home, 3600 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33431, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Visitation will take place from 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by the service at 12:00 noon. Debby’s final resting place will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Spanish River Christian Church Small Groups.
