Debbie Day Moore's Obituary
Debbie Day Moore, 66, passed away on July 31, 2017 at her home in Germantown, TN. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 19, 1951, to the late Dewey Lee Day and Pansy Newman Day. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gary Moore; and two sons Michael Moore (Priscilla) of Lakeland, TN and Matthew Moore (Katie) of Germantown, TN; and four grandchildren, Izabella Moore, Ann Logan Moore, Sutton Moore and baby Moore due in October.Debbie served in many areas. She was a Macon Mom at ECS and served at every dog day on Fridays during the boys school years. She was an active member of First Evangelical Church where She was a volunteer teacher in the children’s program at Bible Study Fellowship for many years. She was a member of the ladies bible study for 25 years and taught vacation bible school many summers. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She selflessly gave of herself to others in the ministry.Debbie’s family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Donald Gravenor and his team at Baptist Cancer Center as well as the hospice team for their kind and compassionate care.Funeral services will be held at First Evangelical Church on August 4th, 2017. Visitation from 11:30 -1 with the service immediately following.The family requests that memorials be made to National Jewish Hospital in Denver, Colorado or MD Anderson in Houston, Texas for pancreatic cancer research..
