Debbie (Deborah) Duncan Cochran's Obituary
Debbie (Deborah) Duncan Cochran was born on March 24, 1955, in Fayetteville, NC. She passed away peacefully at her home on April 15, 2022. She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband James, son Michael, son Christopher, his wife Kim, and granddaughters Aeryn and Avery.
Debbie also leaves behind her sister Pam and Jim Fields, sister Sherry and David Moss, brother Doug and Tena Duncan, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Virginia Duncan, and her stepmother Polly Duncan.
Debbie was strong in her faith in Christ and a beloved member of her community. Despite her 25+ year struggle with Parkinson’s disease, she was a continually devoted volunteer with the DeNeuville Learning Center for Women, Tunica Humane Society, American Cancer Society, and Big River Animal Society, among many other organizations. As a recipient of a Volunteer Memphis award, she always strived to help her community. Debbie was a brilliant and talented interior decorator and the owner of Cochran Interiors for many years. She also loved to create beautiful floral designs for her friends, family, and clients. As an animal lover and advocate, she fostered rescue dogs and was a lifelong dog owner.
A memorial service for Debbie, with Sunday casual attire, will be held Saturday, June 11th at 10:30 am at DeNeuville Learning Center for Women, 190 S Cooper St, Memphis, TN 38104. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to DeNeuville Learning Center for Women in honor of Debbie through their website at dlcmemphis.org.
