Your Dad would sometimes fly charter flights for me when I ran Dixie Flight Center in the mid 70’s. He was one of the few that knew the ins and out of the old Twin Beech. He taught me how to fly it very early on. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and will always have fond memories of our time together. God bless you all.
Dear Deidre, Barbara, and Dean and families, 95 years and he kept on soaring… now he is flying without wings, while leaving a legacy to be proud of. I really enjoyed the video and Deidre, thank you for your email. We’re honored by the support he showed us while on earth and now also by him remebering us through the memorial. I am attaching a picture of the last letter I received from your dad earlier this year… he has been and always will be a blessing in my life… my memories of flying with him will live on and I trust that your memories will ove on with great joy, despite missing him. But if we have the second birth through Jesus, we’ll meet him again and that in the presence of the King of Kings.

Dean flew with me (baby sat me) as co-pilot in King Airs in the early 80’s until I satisfied the insurance requirement with enough flight hours. I took him for a glider ride during that time too. He turned up 30 years later wanting to fly gliders and so he did. A great pilot and all around nice guy. I enjoyed my time with him. Mark Olinger
