I just found out tonight that David passed several years ago and it made me so sad. I don’t know if his family reads the posts left here now,but I want them to know how special Dr Stentz was to so many. My husband was in residency at St Francis hospital when he asked Dr Stentz to deliver our last child. He was the most caring doctor I had ever been to and even went back to him after moving from Memphis 2 hours away)) a couple of years later. He actually told me to call him at the country club where he would be golfing IF I delivered on his day off…Thursday)) I did and he came. He said he had just finished the 18th hole and I told him I would try to have him home by supper… 2 hours later, my beautiful baby girl was here….He laughed with my husband and I and said,”Now don’t complain when your husband has to give up his off day to deliver a baby”….My husband went on to finish residency and delivered over 2000 babies the next 20 years and I always remembered Dr Stenz’ extra dose of kindness for working on his off day….kept me from complaining when my husband was late for dinner too)) Thanks for all you did, you made a difference in this world! You will always be missed Dr Stentz!
