Heaven for sure became a nicer place with the passing of David Richardson (or Oscar, as I liked to call him, even though I was never sure he liked that). He was an inspiration to me. He taught me much things in the many years I knew him, but most importantly, he taught me more about God and Christianity than anyone in my life, other than my own parents. I will never forget his love for life and people. He always found great joy (and often amusement) in the daily comings and goings of his fellow man. He was a great friend, confidant, hunting companion, and teacher – and I will always remember these things about him. He has inspired my children – his grandchildren – and for that I am eternally grateful. He was a true gentleman and scholar, a Godly man that carried himself with class and dignity and respect – a role model for us all. And, I will always remember him with great love and respect, and I will miss him dearly.
