David McNally's Obituary
David Justin McNally, 76, of Germantown, Tennessee, passed peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2015, surrounded by his family.David will be remembered with great love and respect by his wife of 49 years and best friend, Barbara, daughter Katy McNally-Engler, daughter Colleen McNally Balkcom and husband Britt, and son Steve McNally. He cherished his granddaughters Sarah, Mary, and Chloe Balkcom, and Emma Engler. As the youngest of five children, David is also survived by sister Patricia Bastian, brother Tom McNally and wife Mary, and the many nieces and nephews of his siblings.David was born in Tauton, MA to Alice and Thomas McNally. As a young man, he served in the Air Force, and then lived for several years in Minneapolis, MN. It was there that he met Barbara, and they married and began their family. The McNally’s moved from Minneapolis to Chicago, before settling in Germantown, TN. During these years, David was in management with Kraft and ConAgra Foods.Known as Mr. Fix-it, David’s skills were the envy of his friends. Over the years, he also enjoyed many wonderful vacations and weekends with his family either on their boats or in their motor home. As a veteran, David was passionate about causes that support our troops.Services will be held Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit, with visitation from 11:00-12:30, and Mass at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at: https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org.
