Dear Shelly, Hannah, Christian and Jordon,Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to you. We have many fond memories of Coach David (and Jordan) from baseball. To Hannah, Christian and Jordan, as soon as you can, I suggest writing down all the advice your dad gave you through the years and refer to it often. It is a good way to keep him close to you and will also help you face challenges now and later in life.Bill & Kevin Behlke

Lail family,I worked with David at Neuberger Berman and stayed in touch thereafter. He was a first class guy in every way, and I was very fond of him. The one thing I would say about David is that he loved his family and was so proud to be your husband and Dad. Please know that our family will be praying for him and you in the days ahead. God bless you all.Chip Davis
This is how I remember David the most…wearing his coaches uniform and at the park. He always stood by me and wasn’t afraid to do what he knew was right….and not ways gave me his time and attention when we ran into each other. He was good man that looked up to in many ways. Love you David. You will be missed. Shawn
Love this picture!!
Dear Shelley, Hannah, Christian and Jordan, We will always remember how funny your dad was and how he made people laugh!! It is very fitting that he will be remembered here in Georgia on Valentine’s Day. Each year, on this day, you can look back and remember just how many people loved him!!!! You are so lucky to have such a special angel looking over you everyday.Lots of love to you all, Jimmy, Lisa, Ellie and JC French
I met David last October and we immediately shared life experiences like two lost brothers that had just found each other. I haven’t met the family (except for Uncle David) but I learned much about all of you as he would chatter away like a bird in spring. I .could see how proud he was of you guys from the wide grin as he spoke. I will miss him and keep you all in my prayers.Bill Martin
