David George Hollis' Obituary
David George Hollis, 62, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 17, 2012 at Methodist LeBonheur, Germantown. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Payne Hollis, and leaves his father, Dr. C. George Hollis. He also leaves two sons, Derek of The Baddour Center and David Jr. (Stacey) of Holly Springs, MS. In addition, he leaves his companion of 19 years, Cathy White, his sister Susan (Greg Webb) of Memphis and his brother Phil (Alice) Hollis of Rossville, TN. He also leaves three granddaughters, Sarah, Savannah and Mary Hannah, and nephews Vance Webb and Edward and Peter Hollis. David graduated from Germantown High School, where he developed his love for music and song writing and enjoyed playing in his two garage bands The Trolls and King David and His Court. Even though he worked many years as a project manager in the construction business, music and his family were his first loves. His talent and warm heart will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 23 at Bethany Christian Church, 421 Bethany Rd, Eads, TN 38028. The family requests memorials be sent to The Baddour Center, 3297 Highway 51 South, Senatobia, MS 38668.
