David Earl Patterson's Obituary
David Earl Patterson, 57, passed away March 3, 2016. He was born July 22, 1958 in Memphis, TN. He was the owner of David Patterson Jewelers and well known for his jewelry work and fine craftsmanship. He enjoyed boating and was fondly known as “Captain Dave.” He was an avid fan of music of all types and was a strong supporter of local and regional musicians. He attended Hope Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Jean Simmons and father, Ralph Gilmore Patterson. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Donato; brother, Pat Patterson; sister-in-law, Elise; mother, Earline Patterson; and a large extended family. Among his family he was considered everyone’s favorite uncle. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. and a celebration of his life will be held from 7-8 p.m., Monday, March 7 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, March 8 before proceeding to graveside services in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be sent to the Church Health Center, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Levitt Shell. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”
