David A. Daniel's Obituary
David A. Daniel, 89, of Lakeland, TN went to heaven December 24, 2021 from his home in Lakeland, TN. David was born in Atlanta, GA on December 15, 1932 to his parents Wesley and Ettie Lee Daniel who preceded him in death as well his first wife, Kathleen Daniel. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Daniel, who cared for him several years during his illness; a son, Mitchell Daniel, a daughter, Barbara Clenin (Ken), two grandsons, Derek Clenin and Daniel Allen, and several great grandchildren. He also leaves a brother, Harold Daniel (Yvonne), step children Tammy Bauer, Barry and Terry Canerdy.
David graduated from Fulton High School in Atlanta, GA and Memphis State University and was a big tiger fan. He was a very active in the music department at First Assembly of God Church, Cordova, and sang in the choir and TV choir for several years. He served in the US Navy in the 1950’s and was stationed on the USS Leyte when an explosion killed 37 sailors. He retired from Armstrong United Van Lines after thirty years of service.
The visitation will be held at 11:30 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2022 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
