Mr. Collins was the epitome of a true gentlemen. He was always so kind, thoughtful and caring. We will miss him. I am thankful that my husband and I got to know throughout the years because of Jackie and Mrs.Owens. He was just and all around beautiful soul. Rest in Peace. May all who knew him find comfort and peace knowing He is with the Lord.
Prayers and condolences to Kay and family. David was the consummate gentleman. I am fortunate to have been able to count him among my colleagues, mentors, and friends. David made everyone feel welcomed - David and Kay hosted a get together and as the night wore down, David announced, “Kay and I are going to bed. Stay as long as you like. You know where everything is. Lock the door when you leave.”
As a Thornwell alumni, I have spoken to Mr. Collin’s many times. He was a wonderful man and continued to be in touch with his Thornwell family through Facebook. Many of us came to know him as a brother in Christ and the younger generations looked up to him as an inspiration and greatly respected and admired him. I am truly saddened by this news and have shared it with his Thornwell family. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. Many prayers for Mr. Collins’ family and friends, as I know he was dear to many. 💔🙏
Having met Pop a couple of times, he was my brother's father in law, I instantly enjoyed him. I would hand write letters to him with updates on Korey and Kris and Kelli. I believe he enjoyed the lost art of a handwritten letter. He always had kind words about my brother. It is a sad time for the Collins and Ketola family as we have lost our 2 pillars with my dad Bruce passing just 2 days before Pop. Kristopher and Kelli had a fine examples of family leadership with David and Bruce. Each teaching different perspectives about life and family. I believe both men had an art of storytelling which the kids will cherish. Even tho David had an impressive 11 years on my Dad, they will be equally missed by all of our family members and leave loving memories for years to come. I am deeply sorry for your loss and feel your sadness. My husband David (as the David's continue) and I extended our heartfelt sympathy as we celebrate a long and beautifully lived life of David Collins. Love Toni and David Norris, St Marys GA.
