David Allen Strock's Obituary
David Allen Strock, Jr., 53, of Cordova, Tn., went to be with his Lord Sunday, September 13, 2015. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 19 at 11:00 AM at Independent Presbyterian Church on Walnut Grove Road. Rev. John Sartelle will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM in the Rotunda. Final resting place will be overlooking the Grotto Shrine Grotto at Memorial Park, where his son, Matthew, and family, will be able to watch Easter Sunrise Services and reflect on God’s grace and mercy. David was born December 7, 1961 in Bartow, Florida. His family relocated to Memphis in 1966. David was a 1980 graduate of Memphis Preparatory School. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Christian Brothers University. David was employed by WEC Manufacturing until March of this year. His four-year battle with cancer and unwavering faith in God’s omnipotent plan served as inspiration to all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Debbie, their son, Matthew; his mother, Dr. Sylvia Strock Clarendon and step father Dr. Colin Clarendon, of Sardis, MS; his father, David Allen Strock, Sr. and step mother, Linda Strock, of Bartlett; his sister, Ann Strock, of Atlanta, GA., and several loving family members. The family wishes to thank Baptist Trinity Hospice for their dedication to providing end of life care with dignity and without pain.
