Danny Stallings' Obituary
DANNY R. STALLINGS, 58, passed away at his home on September 6, 2012. He was surrounded by the love of his family who were all with him as he passed into heaven. Born in Atlanta, Danny graduated from Germantown High School in 1972. He attended Jackson State and Memphis State Universities. Danny began a career in Investment Banking and Securities working for Southern Securities and Duncan Williams. In 1976, his love of politics led him to run for State Representative for a Republican seat. His gregarious nature made him a natural working in computer interment sales for Autonation, Inc. He was a member of the Hope Church. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Robert Stallings and son, Les Stallings. He leaves his children, Danna and Brendan Stallings; best friend and companion, Lee Watson, Reid and Eva Watson, whom he also loved; sisters, Dotty Kinney (Jack) and Dina Foshee (Jon); brother, Bob Stallings (Debbie); nine nephews and nieces and grandchildren, Parker and Pierce Stallings. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Saturday, September 8 and funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 9 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, The American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
