Dale Welch's Obituary
Dale Howard Welch, 77, of Moscow, Tennessee passed away on August 13, 2009. He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Mary Jane Welch; by three daughters and son-in-laws: Becky and Scotty Harris, Laura and Wade Medlin, and Linda and Randy Bing; by 9 grandchildren: Amy Moulliet, Bobby Harris, Julie Hochman, Andrea Womack, Stephen Bing, Marrianne Harris, Timothy Bing, Charlie Medlin, and Rachel Harris; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers: Richard Welch and Harvey Welch.Dale, a veteran of the Koren War and a Brother of the Franciscan Order, was an active member of The Catholic Church of the Incarnation in Collierville where he founded the Our Lady of Grace Pinnacle prayer group, he faithfully participated in Ministry to the Sick and Rosary for Healing, and he was a Eucharistic minister.In addition to his dedication to his faith and the Church, Dale was a talented artist and craftsman who loved gardening and nature. He and Jane enjoyed traveling and took religious pilgrimages to Medjugorje, Fatima and Lourdes. Most of all, Dale loved being with his family, particularly his grandchildren and, more recently, his great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held at the Church of the Incarnation on Bray Station in Collierville on Sunday, August 16th from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. with a Rosary to be said at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be said at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17th, also at the Church of the Incarnation. A nursery will be provided at each service. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis.
