As a child, I will always remember Uncle Curtis back in the days of approximately 40+ years ago when he owned and operated Shelly’s Wrecker Service, which was a known staple in the Mid-South. In between his calls to various locations to retrieve inoperable vehicles, he would find time to come by our house and sit at our table or bar to drink coffee and talk about old times and tell jokes with my parents. Uncle Curtis was a kind and genuine man who always had a smile on his face and had a deep love beyond measure for all of his family, both past and present. I always enjoyed running into him when I would see him out and about in town. He was never shy about giving you a big hug and smile and always asked about how I was doing and the rest of my family. Best known for his big smile, loving heart and generosity and kindness to others. There will never be another one like him. Gone now through the gates of heaven where his life will continue to live in peace, free of any and all pain, fear, worry or suffering. He will never be forgotten as he holds a special place in each of our hearts.
