Shadow Warrior
As long as I knew him in our you, he was "Ric" to everyone and his dad was Creed. It appears he started using "Creed" (his middle name; his full name was Richard Creed Taylor.) Perhaps he did so in honor to his father. The elder Mr. Taylor was a fine man and excellent CPA who passed away far too early of a brain tumor. His early passing greatly affected Ric, Mark and Mrs. Taylor, but all of us who knew the family well.
We grew up together at All Saints Episcopal Church in Memphis, as well as youth activities and the Boy Scout Troop the parish sponsored. Later, I recall that he, along with some other young men in our Parish. was one of the first, original members of the new Ridgeway High School< starting 1970-71, when he was a sophomore. Later on, he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity (as his father had been) at the University of Memphis.
Our parents were all very active in the Parish, so our families were very close when we were growing up.
He was always into something wild or funny. If there was a prank to pull, he was sure to be at the center of it.
I just stumbled across this obituary online, but felt it important to post this. Ric, (or Creed) my old friend, Requiescat in Pace.
Mark L Arnold, Ph.D.
Brigadier General, US Army (Ret.)
