Craig Farrelly's Obituary
Craig Driver Farrelly, 53, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2016. Craig was born August 29, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee to Charlotte Driver Farrelly and Robert (Bob) Farrelly. He attended Memphis State University and graduated from Baylor University. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He married Elizabeth (Beth) Perkins of Memphis, Tennessee on June 9, 1995 and was a devoted step-father to Matthew Randall Perkins. Craig enjoyed many years as an active member and former chairman of The Grand Krewe of RaMet, Carnival Memphis. He enjoyed playing tennis and spearheaded the weekly theme for his league. An avid snow skier, he and Matthew had opportunities to ski throughout the United States, Europe, and South America. Craig loved people and never met a stranger. He made lifelong friends while working at FedEx and Medtronic. His love for his family, extended family, particularly his cousins who were more like siblings, friends, and his beloved dog could never be measured. Craig was preceded in death by his brother Robert Guy Farrelly. He is survived by his wife, Beth of Memphis, Tennessee, step-son Matthew (Meredith) Perkins of Houston, Texas, his mother Charlotte Farrelly of Memphis, Tennessee, and father Bob Farrelly of Memphis, Tennessee, and his mother-in-law Olive Bridger Summerford or Memphis, Tennessee. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Presbyterian Day School. A visitation will be on Thursday, February 25 at Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5-7PM. A celebration of Craig’s life will be at Christ United Methodist Church in the Wilson Chapel on Friday, February 26 at 10AM.
