Constance Avalyn (Conne) Crawford Bellet's Obituary
Constance Avalyn Crawford Bellet, also known to her friends and family as Conne, passed away on September 29th, 2023, at the age of 80.
Conne married Floyd S. Bellet in April of 1977, and is survived by her daughter Ashley Bellet and siblings Cathyrn Stauffer and James Crawford, and her stepdaughters Ann Madsen, Shelley Greenhalgh, son-in-law Jay Greenhalgh, and grandchildren Eric Lynn and April Lewis. She was the daughter of Jane and Comdr. J.T. Crawford.
Conne was an accessories buyer for Goldsmith’s before becoming the designer and buyer for all of the Memphis Zoo Gift Shops, where she also designed the Zoo Carousel. She volunteered with Wolf River Conservancy, the West Cancer Center Knitting Circle, and contributed to Wildlife Rescue Nests. She was a world traveler and dachshund lover who cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbors.
Her life will be celebrated Friday, October 6th with a viewing at 1:00 PM and a service at 2:00 PM all in the Fireside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to the Memphis Zoo or West Cancer Center.
