Conrad Lee Kreunen's Obituary
Conrad Lee Kreunen, age 86, walked into the arms of his loving Savior after a long, hard fought battle with Parkinson’s Disease on Thursday, October 12, 2018. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Conrad was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 27, 1932 to Irene Wachsmuth and Earl Henry Kreunen. He attended Kansas State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was the former owner of Continental Foundry, Olive Branch, MS and Rossville Aluminum, Rossville, TN. Conrad was an avid golfer and tennis player. In his spare time, he found joy in creating beautiful works of art in needle work. He often blessed others by gifting his creations. Conrad is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Gail Kreunen; son, Kim Kreunen (Tina); daughters, Krista Schauffler (Andreas), Suzie Michelson, Connie Beck (Gin), and Dodie Kreunen; step-sons, Ashley Moore (Angela) and Jonathan Moore; step-daughter, Mary-Kathryn Vey (Brandon); grandchildren, Zach Schauffler, Kyle Schauffler, Gavin Schauffler, Henry Kreunen, Nick Kreunen, Kayla Kreunen, Monty Michelson, Alex Michelson, Sutton Moore, Pierson Moore, Arden Moore, Hartley Vey, and Rivers Vey; and sister, Margaret Mary Furnas (Don). Conrad was also blessed to have great-grandchildren and the recent news of another blessing on the way. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 16 from 12-2 p.m. with a celebration of his life to follow at 2 p.m., all at First Evangelical Church, 735 Ridge Lake Boulevard, Memphis, TN 38120.
