Connie Wallace's Obituary
Cornelia B. Wallace passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday June 27, 2014. She and her twin sister were born March 21, 1925 in Royston, GA to Maury and Cornelia Bowers, who died after giving birth to her beautiful twin girls. Connie was preceded in death by her husband William E. Wallace, her twin sister Dot Whitmire, sister Helen Brown, brothers Ed, Wilder and Andy Bowers. She is survived by her brother Stanley Bowers of McDonough, GA, her daughters Elaine Carey, Dianne Bashore(Jim), Mary O’Brien(Kevin)and son William Wallace. She’s also survived by her grandchildren Chris Nicholson(Jenny), Rhonda Nabors, Gina Butler(Lee), Leander Carey, Keeley Greer(Elizabeth), Brian Wallace, Clay Greer, Joe Carey, April Butler, Conan Wallace, Addie Wallace and six great grandchildren. Connie was a communicant of Grace St-Luke’s Episcopal Church, member of Daughters of the King and King’s Daughters. Visitation will be Wednesday July 2 at Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. and services will be Thursday July 3 at Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Calvary Episcopal Church or Real Good Dog Rescue.Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, 901-767-8930, “Behind the Stone Wall”.
