Connie Neal's Obituary
Connie Neal, a prominent real estate developer and home builder, passed away at the age of 70. She was surrounded by her family and close loved ones following a courageous seven-year battle with Alzheimer's.
Connie was more than a visionary home builder; she was a mother to everyone. Her and her husband Jimmy's work transformed the landscape of Memphis, Shelby County, and the surrounding areas, creating homes that were as warm and welcoming as she was.
When Connie wasn't building today for all your tomorrows, she enjoyed shopping, playing the piano, reading, boating, scuba diving, going to the beach, dancing, traveling, and hunting. She did get the trophy buck from the family farm. Did I mention she loved shopping!
She is survived by her mother, Billie Irby; her big sister, Jane Milton; and her brother, Ronald Irby, and her aunt Dot, who is 103. She was preceded in death by her daddy, Howard Irby.
Connie leaves her loving husband, Jimmy Neal; her daughter, Shera Klinger, and son-in-law, Chris Klinger; her sons, Bryson Lochemes, and son-in-law, Dr. John Lochemes, Vance Neal and Taylor Neal; and her four grandchildren, Andrew Lochemes, Garrett Klinger, Adam Lochemes, and Trent Klinger. She is also survived by many close family friends who were like her children.
Services for Connie will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 2:00pm at Collierville United Methodist Church (454 West Poplar Ave, Collierville, TN 38017). Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery (5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119)
