Cody Lambert's Obituary
Cody Reverle Lambert 87, of Cordova, TN, formerly of Burnsville, MS died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at his home after battling a long illness. He retired from Shelby County Code Enforcement and was a Steamfitter for over 40 years. He was a World War II Pacific Navy Veteran; a member and deacon of Faith Baptist Church Bartlett and taught Sunday School for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his father Cody, his mother Alma Powers Lambert and one brother Dulon Lambert. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mattie Odom Lambert; one daughter Kathy Lambert Nicholson of Cordova, 3 grandchildren Kelly Stockdale (Jason), Lindsay Hintz (Ryan) and Melanie Nicholson all of Memphis; 3 great grandchildren Emma, Ava, Lila and soon to be born Cody Stockdale all of Memphis; two brothers Carl Lambert of Germantown and Mickey Lambert of Bartlett; one sister Mackie Gann of Iuka, MS; one sister-in-law Eva Harris of Mt.Pleasant, MS; and a host of family and friends. Special thanks to friend/caregiver Pat Hart and Crossroads Hospice. Visitation will be held at Faith Baptist Church from 10 until 1 with services starting promptly at 1, with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to Faith Baptist Church Missions or The Orchard Fellowship.
