Clyde Stuart's Obituary
CLYDE STUART, 96, died November 13, 2011 at Kirby Pines Nursing Home. Mr. Stuart was a graduate of UT Knoxville in 1937, a Lt. Colonel in the US Army Air Corps during WWII, longtime member of the Jackson County Board of Education, business manager for Denton Brothers Farm & Gin operations in Jackson Co., Arkansas, and a member of First Christian Church in Newport, AR and Kingsway Christian Church in Memphis. He was preceded in death by one sister, Zoe Warren and one brother, Gaines Stuart. Mr. Stuart leaves his wife of 70 years, Lucy Stuart; two sons, Rush Stuart and his wife, JoAnn of Arley, AL and Mike Stuart of Indianapolis, IN; four grandchildren, Melissa Dillmon, Patrick Stuart, Sean Stuart and Megan Stuart; and four great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held Thursday, November 17 at 2 p.m. at Kirby Pines Manor, with the family receiving friends following the memorial service at 2 p.m. Burial will be Friday, November 18 at 1 p.m. in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Newport, AR.
