My name is Minister James West. I was not a member of Macon Road Baptist Church and I never met Dr. Webb personally. I moved to California in 1990, and I came home to Memphis for a visit with my family. I was channel surfing and the Macon Road broadcast came on. Dr Webb's sermon was entitled "Ending Well." That sermon affected me and my ministry and I have never forgotten it. I desire to be a faithful servant of God, and Dr Webb had a profound impact on me. I still watch some of his sermons even now. Brother Wayne was one of the greatest men I have ever met. At one point he was my pastor but always he was my friend. He put the desire in my heart to share the gospel with as many people as possible. He was truly a man of God. He will be greatly missed.
