Cleveland Lamb's Obituary
Cleveland Lamb, Jr. 89, passed away on September 12, 2012 following a brief illness. Cleveland was born on May 18, 1923 in Memphis, TN to Cleveland Lamb, Sr. and Nanah Weakley Lamb. He was preceded in death by his two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Marijane Adams (Jack); sons, Robert Lamb (Joy) and Phillip Lamb (Teresa); his three grandchildren, Ashley Adams Pierotti (Bill), Jack A. Adams III (Shane), and Phillip Lamb, Jr.; five great-grandchildren; and friend Della Williams. He completed 30 missions as a Waist Gunner during WWII, while flying a B-17, and he received a “Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with three Oakleaf Clusters”.He was a member of Freemasons Unity Lodge 95, Al Chymia Shrine, Royal Order of Jesters Court 130, Liberty Bowl WaterBoys, President of White Station Gourmet Club, and a charter member of the Highland 100 Club. He was an avid Hot Springs Oaklawn racing fan.The family will receive friends at Memorial Park on Saturday, September 15, 2012 beginning at 11:30 am. The service will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
