Claudine Vickery's Obituary
Claudine Vickery, 94, passed away January 20, 2015. She was born April 9, 1920 to Susie and Edward Ferrell. She was the last surviving of the thirteen Ferrell children. She greatly enjoyed teaching Sunday school at Frayser Baptist Church. Together with her husband, Malcolm L. Vickery, Sr., they worked at the family business, Crosstown Printing Company. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed gardening and meeting with her garden club. She is survived by her children, Pat Berryhill (Ken) and Malcolm L. Vickery, Jr. (Glenda); grandchildren, Debbie Holtermann (Larry), Terry Frasure (Scott), Michael Vickery, and Christopher Vickery (Nani); eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband and grandchild, Michelle Vickery. She was very much loved by her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, January 22 and funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, January 23 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens. The family requests memorials be send to the Memphis Jewish Home and Rehab or the Alzheimer’s Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
