Claudette was a good friend and worked at the Post Office with my father in the Seychelles, I believe it was her first job. One of the stories she told me was that she would read the postcards addressed to all the different people on the islands. One day she said she was having a good time reading them and laughing and Dad came to her and said “Miss Mathiot you should not be reading other people’s mail”. She said of course she stopped. She didn’t think about it being invasive We had a good laugh. I miss her.
