Clarice L. Jarrett's Obituary
Clarice Louise Jarrett, 96, formerly of Bartlett, TN was received into the arms of our Lord on June 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Maggie Sue Cave, husband Aaron Jarrett, and son Terry Jarrett. Clarice was born in Sunflower, MS. She worked for Plough Inc. in Memphis, Lewis Grocery in Indianola MS, Sears telephone sales in Jackson, MS, and the Mississippi Insurance Commissioner’s office in Jackson. She retired from Film Transit in Memphis at age 76. Clarice loved Jesus, and she and Aaron were charter members of Kingsway Christian Church here in Memphis.Clarice is survived by her son Larry Jarrett (Darleen) of Collierville, daughter Sharon Spikes (Jim) of Huntsville Alabama; brothers Walter and Howard Cave of Memphis, sisters Joanne Freeman of Memphis and Becky Hollobaugh of Bradenton FL; grandchildren Shawn Jarrett (Stephanie), Stacey Jarrett Rogers (Jeff), Shannon Jarrett Green (Dan), Nikolas Spikes (Elizabeth), Kimberly Spikes Johnson (Zach), and Jarrett Spikes; and twenty great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, June 6 at Memorial Park funeral home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, beginning at 3pm. The Funeral will commence at 4 pm, with burial to immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of Memphis, or Whitesburg Christian Academy of Huntsville, AL.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
