Clara Lee Whitmore's Obituary
Clara Lee Whitmore, 91, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026.
Clara was born December 6th, 1934, in Memphis, Tennessee to the late William Oscar Perry and Annie Thelma Blythe.
Along with her parents Oscar and Annie, Clara was preceded in death by her sister Camellia Harrison.
She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her sons, Kenneth (Elaine) and Donald Whitmore, both of Memphis; her sister, Elizabeth Rannenberg of Conway, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Shelley, Lance, and Angela, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of great pride and joy to her.
Clara dedicated 25 years of service to Regional One Medical Center, where she worked in administration and was known for her dependability and strong work ethic. She was a faithful member of Leewood Baptist Church in Memphis, where she found comfort in worship and community.
She had a deep love for flowers, finding beauty in their colors and care, and she never missed her weekly hair appointment, always believing in looking her best and carrying herself with grace. Clara will be remembered for her quiet strength, consistency, and the love she had for her family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12th, 2026, at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis, Tennessee from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. with a funeral service following at 11:00a.m. and burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
