Cindy Ann Raburn's Obituary
Cindy Ann Raburn, 62, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away Sunday February 12, 2023 after a tough battle with vascular dementia.
Cindy was born December 26, 1960 to Dessie German and Kennie German, Sr. in Somerville, Tennessee. Although the proximity of her birthday and Christmas didn’t aid her as a child, she remained a die hard fan of Christmas and the meaning behind that day.
Cindy became a Registered Nurse in 1998 from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing and in 2007 she got her Bachelor of Science, Nursing from Union University. She had a long and successful career in serving others through nursing, eventually becoming a charge nurse. She loved caring for her patients and devoted her life to the service of others.
Cindy had two children, Ashley Yarbrough and Matthew Raburn, along with three grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Her kids were her life and she took them on numerous vacations growing up including water parks, historical sites, family visits, and national parks. She enjoyed the Hallmark Channel, watching movies, driving around finding Christmas lights, visiting historical sites, and re-reading Pride and Prejudice an uncountable amount of times.
Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, Fireside Chapel (5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119) from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Sunday February 19, 2023 followed by a memorial service from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
Our mother is truly missed and her service, smile, and laughter will be missed by all who knew her or were cared for by her hands. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Brain Foundation or to the Mount Vernon Ladies Association.
