Christopher Corbitt Lovelace's Obituary
Christopher Corbitt Lovelace, 62, of Memphis, TN, passed away peacefully at home on May 5, 2026, after a brief illness.
Chris was born on September 18, 1963. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. William (Bill) Lovelace and Bobbie P. Lovelace. Chris is survived by his sisters, Leslee L. Pascal, Lisa L. Holliday (Craig), his aunt, Sylvia P. Cochran (Bill), five nephews, three nieces, and his many cousins.
Chris was truly his father’s son and fell in love with the same pastimes - traveling, world history, fly fishing, hiking, and mountain climbing. But, much like his mother, Chris was insightful, prayerful, and highly introspective. He could also be very funny and, at times, downright silly. Even while faced with life’s struggles, Chris lived a full life in just 62 years, and we are forever thankful to God that his last year on earth was filled with happiness, good health, and so much laughter. Though he has now been welcomed joyfully into Heaven, his absence has left an irreparable hole in our hearts, and we will miss him deeply.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 10 a.m. with service at 11 a.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119 (901) 767-8930.
“Where Memphis comes to remember, since 1924.”
