Christophe Kesterson's Obituary
Christopher James Kesterson, ”Christophe”, 17 years of age, who was full of love, laughter and life was born on March 13, 1997 in Germantown, Tn. He passed away on the day we celebrate Love, February 14, 2015. He was the son of Dr. Georgina Odom Kesterson and Mr. John William Kesterson and younger brother of John Michael Kesterson who are of Collierville, TN and Jacob Aaron Kesterson of Lafayette, Louisiana. He was also loyal master and best friend to his yellow lab, Rocco. Christophe loved the outdoors. He played lacrosse for Christian Brothers High School, and many of his closest friends were his teammates. Many a weekend, you could find Christophe in hip waders fly fishing with his father and brothers. Christophe once caught 20 trout over 20 inches in one outing, which is a rare feat. At the age of ten, Christophe got a hole in one at Windyke Country Club and he played recreational basketball with his high school buddies. Christophe’s life on and off the field was rooted in personal integrity and a desire to bring joy to others. Christophe’s dry wit and disarming smile were integral to his charm. Reserved, but not shy, Christophe’s choice of words were humorous, intelligent, kind, and most importantly poignant and relevant. Christophe attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Elementary School and was a graduate of St Dominic’s Academy. He was an excellent AP student at Christian Brothers High School and was planning to attend the University of Georgia this fall, where his older brother, John Michael, attends and mother is an alumnae. Christophe was a parishioner of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. He is also survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Virgil Kesterson of Gig Harbor, Washington and other relatives. The Mass and funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. On Saturday, February 21st at OLPH Church in Germantown, TN. Because of his deep love of his fellow Brothers and the important role of CBHS in his life, please send donations to the Christophe Kesterson Memorial Fund in care of Nancy Lannigan, at CBHS, 5900 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN 38120. CK2 and live Jesus in our hearts forever. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
