Christine Lampley's Obituary
Marjorie Christine Achord Lampley, age 92, of Southaven, MS, entered Heaven’s Gates Oct. 9, 2016. Born in Memphis Jan. 12, 1924 to the late Winnie Ann Finerson and Dalton Elcy Achord, she graduated honors from Humes High School in 1935. Married 67 years, she and William Robert “Bob” Lampley, Jr. founded Lampley and Lampley Certified Public Accountants, traveled extensively, and devotedly served the Lord Jesus, family, church and community. Active in the Tennessee and National Society of Public Accounts, she retired in 2002. She remained honorably faithful in Christian character, ministry of prayer and the love of God. Survived by daughters, Becki Fortner, Debbie Throgmartin, and Chris Fullen (Brian); son, Bob Lampley III; grandchildren, Logan Fortner (Judith), Becca Beverstein (Joe), Christina Keaton (James), Monica Dawson, Bobby Lampley IV (Lyndsay), Eric Lampley (Brookie), Jacob Lampley, Audra and Myles Fullen; great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made for foreign missions to Heritage Christian Life Center, 6100 Elmore Road, Southaven, MS 38671 or to Prayer Avenue, 4400 Belmont Park Terrace, Unit 207, Nashville, TN 37215 or to charity of your choice. Friday, October 14, Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Heritage Christian Life Center, Southaven, MS. Saturday, October 15, Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 a.m. and Celebration Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. officiated by Rev. James Sandy with Interment afterwards at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
