Christine R. Hubbard's Obituary
Christine Rosson Hubbard, 91 of Memphis, TN died Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Kirby Pines Manor. Chris attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. She was married to James W. “Billy” Hubbard for 61 years before his death. Billy founded the family business, Hubbard’s Hardware. Chris was a member of White Station Church of Christ for 61 years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, volunteering at the church and being a homemaker. Chris is survived by her children, daughter Susan Perkins (Tommy) of Bedford, TX; two sons, James W. “Sonny” Hubbard, Jr. (Karen) and Steve Hubbard (Jean), both of Memphis, TN; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She also leaves her siblings, Elizabeth Rosson Lott of MS, Jane Rosson Hensley of MS and Jack Rosson of OK. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 14 from 5 pm – 7 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, March 15 at Memorial Park with interment following in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family request memorials be made to White Station Church of Christ c/o Food Pantry, Harding School of Theology or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
