Mabry, Christian Lee's Obituary
Christian Lee Mabry, born December 12, 1991, in Memphis, TN, passed away on October 8, 2024, at the age of 32.
Christian was married to the love of his life, Kristen Shaver Mabry for 8 years. They were blessed with 2 beautiful children, Elaina, 4 and Julian, 2. He also leaves behind his mom, Jackie (Phillip) Updike, grandparents, Gerald and Pat Moffitt, brother Aaron (Nora) Mabry, aunts and uncles, Charlene (Mike) Davenport, Hal Mabry, Kathy Keltner, Ken Mabry and Sandy Mabry, cousins, Christopher Davenport, Hannah Mabry, Jessie Moffitt, Kristyn Lundy, Meg Crosby, Meg Keltner, Crosby Keltner, Michelle Davenport, and Zach Mabry, along with countless others he considered family.
Christian was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Mabry, grandparents, Harold and Tommye Faye Mabry, and uncles, Dennis Moffitt and Russ Moffitt.
Christian graduated from ECS in 2010. He will be remembered for his many talents and gifts. Ride the Fence, a podcast created by Christian on the streets of Memphis, challenged others by raising awareness of political and other hot topics. He was a certified Peer Recovery Specialist enabling him to help others with surviving substance abuse. He amazed us with his incredible ability to play acoustic guitar by ear. One of the first songs he ever played for Kristen was Stairway to Heaven. Christian was Director of Operations for River City Management Group, based on Beale. He was most proud of his adult baptism on February 19, 2023. His passion for Jesus and spreading the Gospel was witnessed by all. When you think of Christian, many words come to mind: smart, compassionate, witty, genuine, selfless, loving and most of all, persevering.
He never met a stranger. Christian impacted many lives in countless ways. He will be truly missed.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 15 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. all in the Riverside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held from 4pm-7pm at One Memphis Street located at 2467 Memphis Street in Hernando, MS.
