Christian T. Krogh's Obituary
Christian “Chris” T. Krogh, 88, of Eads, TN, passed away, Monday, January 21, 2019 at home. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 8816 Poplar Pike in Germantown, TN. Pastor Greg Darden will be officiating. Burial will follow at Southwoods Cemetery in Memphis. Friends may visit with family from 11:00 am until the service begins at noon. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made in loving memory to the American Cancer Society. Those wishing to sign Chris’s guestbook may do so. Chris was born May 28, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Christian V. and Valentine (Gall) Krogh. He graduated from Davenport High School and earned his degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Chris proudly served in the US Army as a weapons instructor and later served during the Korean conflict. He was honorably discharged as Sergeant First Class. He married Irene H. (Kaiser) Krogh in St. Louis, Mo. They later moved to Memphis, TN, where he was employed as Industrial Relations Manager with Hunter Fan. He retired from Layne and Bowler, Memphis as their Industrial Relations Executive and Labor Relations Manager. Chris was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, The American Legion, a mentor of Junior Achievement Memphis, and a Charter Member of the Studebaker Drivers Club; he had a passion for exotic and classic cars. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He is survived by his two daughters, Heidi K. Mitchell and Kristina K. Brady. Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and friend to all who knew him.
