Chris Borner Timmins' Obituary
Chris Borner Timmins, of La Porte, Texas, passed away on April 3, 2026.
Born on August 28, 1958, in Memphis, Tennessee, Chris was the son of C.W. Burton Timmins, Sr. and Jean Louise Bruso Timmins. At the age of 18, he moved to Houston, Texas, where he made his home and built a life centered around family, work, and the things he loved most.
Chris worked as an instrument technician and spent his career with Shell, Geon, OxyVinyls, and Mobay. He was known as a hardworking man who enjoyed the simple things in life and the freedom of the outdoors.
He loved being on the water, especially offshore fishing, and he enjoyed deer and bird hunting with his many friends. Chris also loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, playing guitar, and listening to rock music on vinyl. Music, the outdoors, and time spent doing what he loved were all a big part of who he was.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Chuck Timmins. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Timmins; his son, Aaron Timmins; his sister, Bobbie Timmins Knox; his grandchildren, Summer Timmins and Jaxson Purdom; and many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 18th, 2026, at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Mausoleum Rotunda.
