Chip and Mother
I worked with Chip at the airlines. He was a great guy and many of the airline customers would not check in with anyone but Chip. He will be missed.
We met Chip when his son married our niece. We couldn’t believe it when Chuck died so young. Chip loved his grandson Carter and I know Carter is going to miss him so much. I always loved to see the posts Chip would put on his Facebook page when they were together. They were always out doing something fun. RIP Chip and will see you again someday.
Yes, what a reunion. Earth’s loss is definitely Heaven’s gain.
I was blessed with being part of Chip’s life when God gave him 6 more years. Chip was such a caring soul. My favorite Chip story…Working a gate one day at the airport with Chip when a gentleman walked up and insisted on being seated in first class or at least in the bulk head seating in coach. He did not meet the requirements for either and I kept telling him NO. As I continued to stand my ground, Chip typed on my screen “Look at his cap.” “TWITTY” meant nothing to me. Hmmm. It was Conway Twitty. Guess that’s why Chip got to work 1st class at the counter and not me.Chip was very special to me and helped me through some very hard times. Much love, see you again one day!
My wife and I were saddened to hear of Chip’s death. We knew him through the marriage of his son Chuck to our niece and our flights in and out of Memphis. Even after Chuck’s death, Chip found time to share a round of golf with me when I visited my family in Arkansas. He will be missed. Our condolences go out to his family and they remain in our thoughts and prayers. Larry and Nancy May, Ocean Isle Beach, NC
I met Chip through his son, Chuck, and daughter in law, Audra. Very fun guy to be around! So sorry for your loss. What a reunion for him and Chuck!!
We met Chip when our niece married his son, Chuck. We just couldn’t believe it when Chuck died so young. Chip was such a good grandpa to Carter and I loved reading his posts on Facebook when he had Carter for a week or more. They were always out doing something fun. It breaks my heart that Carter has now lost his grandpa but I do know he has some wonderful memories. Rest In Peace, Chip. Donna & Jimmy Burnett
Our family knew Chip through Boy Scout Troop 241. He was there 18-19 years ago when our oldest son joined the troop even though his own son had became and Eagle a few years before that. He was still working with the troop this year where our youngest son involved. I ask Chip this past fall if he knew how many boys had become Eagles since he resurrected Troop 241. There were 53 Eagles at that point (even more now!), It takes a really special man to devote so much time to helping young men grow in character. So thankful for his decades of spending Monday nights in scout meetings and one weekend a month camping and spending his vacation time going to summer camp with scouts.
