Chester Linebarier's Obituary
Chester R. Linebarier, proud United States Air Force Veteran, went to be with our Lord and his family awaiting him in heaven on October 12, 2018. He was born in Camden, Arkansas on November 28, 1928 to Orland and Ella Rae Linebarier. He played football and ran track for the University of Arkansas and remained a loyal razorback his entire life. He was responsible for bringing the Art Linkletter Dance studio franchise to Memphis where he opened three locations, teaching thousands of students the art of dance. He leave behind his son, Dr. Chip Linebarier (Denise); daughter, Kathryn Anne Proctor (Steve); grandchildren, Corbin Linebarier and Elle Lawhead (Josh); and great-grandchildren, Eliza, Louise, and Drew Lawhead; brother, Orland (Shirley); and sisters, Marilyn Muras (Jimmy) and Shirley Winship (Bob). He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki; granddaughter, Mande Leigh Proctor; grandson Chester “Ches” Linebarier III; and brother, Bobby Joe Linebarier. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to The Way Ministry at St. John’s Methodist Church, The Church Health Center, or the Shelby County Drug Court. The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude for his recent caregivers, Jamie Hinely, Dicy Harmon, and Genger Byars for their compassion, tireless attention, and wonderful loving care.
