Charlyene Simi's Obituary
Charlyene Hardin Simi, 87, died July 7, 2011 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Sisto Simi. Born May 1, 1924 in Booneville, AR, Mrs. Simi was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary as well as the American Legion Auxiliary. Completely devoted to her family, she loved her flowers and garden, visiting and keeping up with her children, friends, and neighbors, her University of Memphis Tigers, and cooking! She is survived by her three children, Joe Simi, Theresa Simi, and John Simi, all of Memphis. In addition, she leaves behind one sister, Dorothy Blythe of Spingdale, AR, a brother, Clifford Hardin of Modesto, CA and many nieces and nephews who affectionately called her “Aunt Chachie.” Visitation and Rosary will be Sunday, July 10, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, July 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 S. White Station Rd. with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
