Charlotte Robertson's Obituary
We are celebrating the wonderful life of Charlotte Robertson, who passed away peacefully at home June 9, 2021. She was born on July 21, 1914 to Cornelius and Caroline Van Vulpen in Beaumont, Texas. She was wife to Lindsay Robertson who preceded her, mother to Janice Robertson and JoAnn (Rush) Stuart, grandmother to Patrick Lindsay Stuart and Dr. Melissa Stuart Dillmon and great-grandmother to Madeline Dillmon, Cameron Stuart, Zoe Dillmon, and Charlotte Dillmon.
She was a lifelong first grade teacher at Berclair and Shady Grove in the Memphis School system and upon retirement, she volunteered at St Francis Hospital from 1990 until 2014. She was designated as a JEFFERSON volunteer of the year. She was also a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church.
While we will miss her, we have a lifetime of memories and are confident in her strong Christian faith. We have appreciated the incredible outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and care givers.
There will be a graveside service on Thursday, June 17 at 10:00 am at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, donation to be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
