Charlotte Hines' Obituary
Charlotte was born in Memphis, Tennessee to her parents, Lloyd Earl Irby and Blanch Eugenia (Stark) Irby, who proceeded her in death. Charlotte was married 53 wonderful years to Donnie Eugene Hines, who proceeded her in death.
In 1955, Charlotte graduated Millington Central High School. She attended Mississippi College for Women. Passionate about teaching, Charlotte taught school for 38 years at Georgian Hills Elementary. Later, she went back to Memphis State to pursue and receive her Masters Degree in Education.
She was loved by family and friends and everyone she met. Charlotte was a cancer survivor. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Millington and loved to sing for the Lord in their choir. Charlotte leaves her sister and best friend, Lynda P. Darnell, with whom she spent many of her days of adventure. She leaves several loving family members. Nieces: Laura Lynn Bennett, Rhonda Renee (Bennett) Cooper (Johnny), and Karen Kearney; Nephews: Rusty Hines (Wanda), Rickey Hines (Vicki), Bobby Hines (Nancy), and Patrick Cliem; Brother-in-laws proceeded in death: Robert Hines, Jr and Harold Hines; and Sister-in-law: Gaił (Hines) Barnes.
The visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2024 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis TN 38119
