Charlotte Elisabeth Emmrich's Obituary
Charlotte Elisabeth Emmrich Dunne, 87, of Memphis, Tennessee, retired proprietor of Charlotte’s Place Cafe, departed this world on September 30, 2021.
She was born in Vienna Austria in 1934, grew up during WWII, and toured Europe with a ballet troupe, before coming to the United States in November 1956. Working behind the counter at Charlotte’s, she touched the lives of many people; helping them through good and tough times. She celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, job advancements, etc by throwing some of the best parties with the best oldies jukebox in the city, having an eclectic selection of music ranging from Nat King Cole to Bette Midler.
In addition to her love for people, she also loved animals and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas. She is survived by her two daughters, Tyrina Browning (John) and Linda Rollins; granddaughter, Patti McIntyre and three great grandchildren, Mac, Devan, and Connor McIntyre.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity that protects animals.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 5 at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Park funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery.
